Father's Day

Jared really enjoyed his 1st Father's Day. Avaleigh gave him a t-shirt (shown above), and we all went out to breakfast. It was very nice. Then Ava had a rough afternoon. I think her tummy was bothering her because she cried all afternoon....poor baby!

Waking Up....

Avaleigh was waking up from a nap in her carseat. The video is a little long, but there is a smile near the end...

New Pajamas!!

Bath Time

Avaleigh is now having "real" water baths. It took her umbilical cord about 4 weeks to fully fall off, so we were stuck doing sponge baths. She likes the warm water once she gets in, but it takes her a minute to get used to it. So she cries at first, but then I put a warm, wet wash cloth over her chest and tummy and she loves it! She even lets me wash her hair!! Then afterwards we dry off in a cute hooded towel, and Mommy holds her real tight - I love it!! :)

6th Week Update...

Avaleigh had her one month appointment on June 3rd. The doctor was very impressed by her alertness and her weight. She weighed 9lbs 14oz. The doctor said that she is in the 75th percentile for her weight, the 50th percentile for her height and the 95th percentile for her head size!! Just like daddy!! Yesterday the "smart start" nurse came to check on us. Ava now weighs 10lbs 8oz - such a big girl! I guess nursing is working...yay! :)

Avaleigh has just started smiling a little and cooing. It is so cute to watch her look around and try to process everything. She really is an alert baby. I cannot believe that she is now 6 weeks old...the days just seem to fly by.
